Your stand, our kitchen
At a trade fair, your stand is your calling card. We coordinate with your stand builder, plan around opening hours and make sure visitors and stand staff are well looked after from the first day to the last.
Tailor-made trade fair and event catering, crew food and public catering.
Atelier Le Gros cooks for the busy moments: three days on a trade fair stand, a crew that starts at six in the morning, a crowd that arrives in waves.
We get involved from the very first plans: when your guests eat, where the kitchen can go, what suits your stand and how we handle the peaks. That way, fresh food reaches the table at every moment, in the right quantity and with the finish you expect from a caterer.

“Consumer”: any natural person who enters into a contract with Atelier Le Gros for purposes outside his or her trade, business, craft or profession.
“Business” or “B2B client”: any natural or legal person who contracts with Atelier Le Gros in the course of his, her or its professional or business activity.
Where these terms distinguish between “Consumer (B2C)” and “Business (B2B)”, that distinction is mandatory and takes precedence over any other, more general provision. In the quote or order form, the client indicates in which capacity it contracts. In case of doubt or absence of such indication, the arrangement most protective of the client applies.
These terms apply between:
These terms apply to all quotes and contracts of Atelier Le Gros, including trade fair and event catering, crew food, public catering, receptions and dinners, as well as the provision of staff, equipment and the like.
The contract is concluded when the client accepts the quote in writing (including electronically) or, failing that, when the deposit is paid.
These terms take precedence over any general (purchase) terms of the client, unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing. Provisions that conflict with mandatory law, in particular the consumer law of Books VI and XIX of the Belgian Code of Economic Law (CEL), are replaced by the corresponding statutory rule, without affecting the validity of the other provisions (see Article 20).
All prices exclude VAT and exclude additional staff or additional equipment requested by the client, unless stated otherwise or agreed otherwise in writing. Unforeseen additional costs arising during performance are included in the final invoice, with justification.
Waiting times or delays on site not attributable to Atelier Le Gros (such as a late start of the event, overrunning speeches or delayed access to the site) are charged at the applicable hourly rate per staff member: EUR 38.50 excl. VAT per hour for waiting staff and EUR 48 excl. VAT per hour for cooks.
3.1 Consumer (B2C). Price adjustments after conclusion of the contract are only possible on the basis of objective factors beyond the control of Atelier Le Gros (such as official price indices for food raw materials or energy, or a legally required wage indexation), up to a maximum of 10% of the original quoted price. We justify the increase in writing and demonstrate the cost increase. If the increase takes place before performance, the consumer may terminate the contract free of charge and without compensation within eight days of notification, with a refund of all amounts already paid.
3.2 Business (B2B). In the event of a demonstrable and unforeseen increase in cost-determining factors (raw materials, energy, mandatory wage indexation), Atelier Le Gros may increase the quoted prices by up to 20%, subject to prior written notice and justification. If the increase exceeds 10%, the client may cancel the services not yet performed free of charge within eight days of notification.
4.1 Invoices, including deposit invoices, are payable no later than 30 days after the invoice date, to the account number and with the structured reference stated on the invoice.
4.2 Consumer (B2C). In the event of non-payment on the due date, the consumer first receives a free payment reminder. Only if no payment has followed within 14 calendar days of sending that reminder (16 calendar days if sent by post) are the following owed by operation of law and without further notice of default:
These amounts cover both late-payment interest and all costs of amicable recovery and never exceed these statutory limits.
4.3 Business (B2B). In the event of non-payment on the due date, late-payment interest at the rate for late payment in commercial transactions (Act of 2 August 2002) is owed by operation of law and without notice of default, plus a fixed compensation of EUR 40 for recovery costs, without prejudice to our right to compensation for reasonable additional recovery costs.
4.4 Any non-payment on the due date makes all invoices of the same client outstanding at that time immediately payable.
4.5 Reciprocity. If Atelier Le Gros itself fails to pay an amount owed to the client on time (for example a refund), it owes equivalent compensation by operation of law, calculated at the same interest rate and, for consumers, within the same limits.
4.6 Deposit. We ask for a deposit. Your date is only confirmed once it has been received. The deposit is paid within 3 working days of accepting the quote and no later than 3 weeks before the event, unless agreed otherwise in writing (for example for last-minute bookings). We accept payment by bank transfer, Bancontact or cash.
4.7 No right of withdrawal. For consumers, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance or off-premises contracts (Article VI.47 et seq. CEL) does not apply, as this concerns catering services for which a specific date or period of performance is provided (exception of Article VI.53, 12° CEL). We inform the consumer of this before the contract is concluded through these terms.
5.1 Permits. The client obtains in good time all necessary permits and third-party consents (such as use of public space, noise standards or consent of the venue or trade fair organiser). Fines or damages imposed on Atelier Le Gros due to their absence are passed on in full to the client.
5.2 Access. The client provides a safe, paved and sufficiently accessible venue and access route for our vehicles and equipment (including food trucks, kitchen units and vans). If delivery, set-up or catering at the agreed place proves impossible or unsafe due to inaccessibility, obstructions or unsuitable ground, the agreed costs remain payable in full and the client bears all resulting additional costs.
5.3 Utilities and hygiene. The client provides a venue that meets the necessary safety and hygiene standards and supplies the necessary utilities free of charge, in particular electricity (with three-phase power where needed) and a water connection.
5.4 Breakage and loss of equipment. Breakage, damage, loss or theft of equipment (such as glasses, tableware, cutlery, trays or decoration) caused by the client or its guests is charged at replacement value (new value) or the actual repair cost. Normal wear and tear is excluded. Equipment returned by the client or set aside for collection is handed over in the agreed condition. Additional cleaning costs due to exceptional soiling are invoiced at actual cost. The client is jointly and severally liable for damage to our equipment caused by its guests, agents or third parties engaged by it.
If the client cancels a contract in whole or in part, it owes the following cancellation fees as compensation, expressed as a percentage of the amount for the cancelled goods or services:
Cancellation must be made in writing. The date of receipt by Atelier Le Gros determines the cancellation fee.
Reciprocity: if Atelier Le Gros cancels the contract in whole or in part other than in a case of force majeure (Article 8), it owes the client equivalent compensation according to the same periods and percentages, in addition to the immediate and full refund of amounts already paid for services not performed.
Consumers retain in full the right to ask the court, in accordance with Article 5.88 of the Belgian Civil Code, to reduce this penalty clause if it clearly exceeds the damage that could reasonably have been foreseen.
We work on the basis of the numbers provided by the client. If the actual numbers are lower than those in the accepted quote, we may maintain the total price. A reduction is limited to a maximum of 10% of the number provided and must be notified in writing no later than 3 weeks before the event. An increase, or a change in the type or number of dishes, is agreed by mutual consent and no later than 3 weeks before the event. For bookings made less than 3 weeks before the event, the deadlines in the confirmed quote apply.
In the event of force majeure, Atelier Le Gros may, after notifying the client, cancel all or part of its obligations not yet performed, without judicial intervention. Force majeure includes in any case, without this list being exhaustive:
With regard to businesses (B2B), the parties expressly exclude the application of Article 5.74 of the Belgian Civil Code (change of circumstances). With regard to consumers (B2C), Article 5.74 remains fully applicable: if an unforeseeable change of circumstances makes performance excessively onerous, the affected party may request renegotiation, while remaining obliged to continue performing the contract in the meantime.
Atelier Le Gros is only liable for damage directly attributable to it. Except in the cases listed below, any compensation is limited to the agreed price (excl. VAT) for the assignment concerned, and we are never liable for indirect or consequential damage (such as loss of profit, reputational damage or loss of customers).
This limitation does not apply:
Atelier Le Gros may refuse or terminate assignments, even after confirmation or commencement, if their content conflicts with any statutory or governmental provision or, in our judgement, with our good name or interests. In that case, we are entitled to compensation for costs already incurred in preparation and performance, and we are not liable for damage resulting from non-performance or early termination.
In addition, we may dissolve the contract with immediate effect, by operation of law and without judicial intervention, by written notice, if:
In these cases, the client owes the compensation set out in Article 6.
Complaints about dishes or services must be reported immediately during the event to our staff on site, so that we can find a solution right away. Other complaints can be sent by e-mail to [email protected] or by letter to Atelier Le Gros, Cadixstraat 23 bus 5411, 2000 Antwerp, Belgium. Any dispute of the final invoice must be sent within 48 hours of performance; the postmark or sending date serves as proof.
The client first tries to resolve any dispute amicably with us.
Without prejudice to their right to bring the matter before the competent court under Article 624 of the Belgian Judicial Code (including that of their place of residence), consumers may also submit a dispute to the Consumer Ombudsman Service, City Atrium, Rue du Progrès 50, 1210 Brussels (www.consumentenombudsdienst.be).
We may promote our name and services at the venue and during the assignment (including through clothing, business cards and printed matter), and use the name of the client or its company as a reference for commercial purposes (including on our website and social media), unless you refuse this in writing when booking.
We assume that the client has no objection to photos being taken and published for commercial purposes. If you do not wish this, please let us know by e-mail no later than 1 week before the event. Even after publication, you can always ask for an image or post to be removed; we will then do so without delay.
Photos or videos in which guests are recognisable constitute processing of personal data within the meaning of the GDPR. The client informs its guests of this in advance. Every data subject retains the right of access, objection and erasure in accordance with our privacy policy, via [email protected].
No later than 3 weeks before the event, we receive the following final details:
For bookings made less than 3 weeks before the event, the deadlines in the confirmed quote apply. Anything not expressly agreed is the client’s responsibility.
By mutual agreement, we may visit the venue in advance to determine the equipment needed and to check fire safety and hygiene. The client chooses a venue that allows proper organisation, makes the necessary arrangements with the owner or organiser (access, electricity, water, etc.) and bears the costs of using and consuming utilities. All necessary facilities are made available to our team.
From the moment the client collects food from us, the client is responsible for its safety and hygiene. Chilled dishes are transported below 7 °C, frozen dishes at a maximum of -18 °C and hot dishes at a minimum of 65 °C. At the venue and time of the event, the client is then also responsible for keeping and serving the dishes at these temperatures.
Dishes kept warm for a long time are discarded after the event for safety reasons. If the client nevertheless wishes to keep leftovers, Atelier Le Gros accepts no liability for spoilage or for any resulting health complaints.
The client sends us all relevant information about allergies by e-mail no later than 3 weeks in advance. We charge no supplement for this, unless more than 20% of the guests have an allergy; we assess this case by case. The client can always request the allergens in advance. This does not affect our own statutory duty to inform as a food business under Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011: we always provide correct allergen information about our dishes.
Menus, recipes, quotes, concepts, designs, photos and other material of Atelier Le Gros remain our exclusive property, even after performance. They may not be copied, distributed or used for purposes other than the performance of the contract without our prior written consent.
Goods, materials and equipment delivered (such as rental equipment, tableware and decoration) remain the property of Atelier Le Gros until full payment of the agreed price, including any costs and interest. Until then, the client may not sell, pledge or otherwise encumber these goods.
We process personal data of the client (and, where necessary, of its guests) for the performance of the contract, customer management and, within the limits of Article 12, direct marketing. This is done in accordance with the GDPR and our privacy policy. The client and its guests have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.dataprotectionauthority.be).
If any provision proves wholly or partly void, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain fully valid. The parties replace the void provision with a valid provision that comes as close as possible to its economic intent. For consumers, failing this, the applicable mandatory statutory rule applies.
Atelier Le Gros may change these terms for future contracts. A concluded contract remains subject to the version in force when the quote was accepted, unless the parties agree otherwise in writing or a new mandatory statutory provision requires immediate application.
All contracts with Atelier Le Gros are governed exclusively by Belgian law. For contracts with businesses (B2B), only the courts of Antwerp, Antwerp division, have jurisdiction. For consumers (B2C), Article 624 of the Belgian Judicial Code remains fully applicable: the consumer may choose the court of Antwerp or another court competent under that article (including that of his or her place of residence).
In the event of any discrepancy between language versions, the Dutch version prevails.
